50-Year-Old Nakia Dawson Killed in Austin, TX Pedestrian Accident

Struck on Interstate 35 in Southeast Austin

A tragic accident occurred on July 18 in Austin, Texas, when 50-year-old Nakia Dawson was struck by a vehicle around 3:07 a.m. in the 8000 block of South Interstate 35. Dawson was taken to a hospital but later died from injuries. Austin police are continuing to investigate the incident. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
