Pedestrian struck in crosswalk on South Western Avenue

A tragic accident occurred on February 15 in Manchester Square, California, when 50-year-old Javier Tamayo of Los Angeles was killed after being struck by an unidentified vehicle while in a crosswalk at South Western Avenue and West 82nd Street around 9:30 p.m. The driver fled the scene. Police described the suspect vehicle as a tan GMC with LED lights along the running boards. Authorities continue to investigate. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
