Pedestrian fatally struck by suspected impaired driver

A tragic accident occurred on August 17 in El Cajon, California, when 50-year-old Jim Misao Frazee was struck and killed by a suspected impaired driver in a hit-and-run incident. The crash happened around 12:58 a.m. on Chase Avenue, near Avocado Avenue, when a GMC SUV veered onto the sidewalk, hitting Frazee before colliding with a utility pole and fire hydrant. The suspect fled but was later arrested by police. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
