49-Year-Old Johnny Burchfield Killed in Abilene, TX Accident

A tragic accident occurred on June 27 in Abilene, Texas, when 49-year-old Johnny Burchfield was struck and killed by a Union Pacific train in the 1900 block of South First Street near Sayles Boulevard at about 2 a.m. Authorities said the train conductor reported the collision. Burchfield was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation remains ongoing. We send thoughts and prayers to the victim’s family.
