48-Year-Old Simon Morales Gonzalez Injured in Camp County, TX Accident

Head-on collision on U.S. 271 near Titus County line

A tragic accident occurred on June 21 in Camp County, Texas, when 48-year-old Simon Morales Gonzalez was injured in a head-on collision on U.S. 271 near the Titus County line at about 2:30 p.m. Authorities said a Nissan Altima crossed into the opposite lane and struck a tractor-trailer. The two occupants of the Altima were killed at the scene. Gonzalez, the truck driver, was injured and transported to a hospital. The investigation remains ongoing.
