48-Year-Old Mecca Orr Killed in Muskegon Heights, MI Accident

Suspect arrested after fleeing fatal wheelchair crash

A tragic accident occurred on October 6 in Muskegon Heights, Michigan, when 48-year-old Mecca Orr was struck by a vehicle while riding a motorized wheelchair on East Hackley Avenue near Reynolds Street around 7:40 p.m. Orr was transported to Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital, where she later died from her injuries. The suspect, a 23-year-old woman, was arrested and charged with failure to stop at the scene of an injury crash. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
