48-Year-Old Craig Prather Killed in Bradenton, FL Accident

Cyclist dies after being struck by vehicle in bike lane

A tragic accident occurred on May 16 in Bradenton, Florida, when 48-year-old Craig Prather was riding a bicycle on 53rd Avenue West near 66th Street West. Authorities said a BMW entered the bike lane around 4:30 a.m. and struck Prather. He died from injuries sustained in the collision. Prather was well known in the local cycling community. The investigation remains ongoing. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
