48-Year-Old Alejandro Padilla Arrested in Taft, CA Accident

Motorcyclist killed in tragic Kern Street collision

A tragic accident occurred on July 27 in Taft, California, when 48-year-old Alejandro Padilla was involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a motorcyclist. The incident happened around 10:43 a.m. in the 1000 block of Kern Street, where Padilla’s pickup truck turned into the path of an eastbound motorcycle. The rider died at the scene. Padilla fled but was later arrested by Taft Police. Anyone with information is urged to contact police at (661) 763-3101. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
