47-Year-Old Mellanie Cook Injured in Port Angeles, WA Accident

Passenger hospitalized after single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 101

A serious accident occurred on July 26 in Port Angeles, Washington, when 47-year-old Mellanie Cook was a passenger in a GMC Jimmy that left U.S. Highway 101 and came to rest in a ditch just east of R Corner. Authorities said the driver lost control of the vehicle at about 7:36 p.m. Cook and the driver were transported to Olympic Medical Center with unspecified injuries. The accident remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
