47-year-old Jose Rangel Diosdado dies in Elk Grove, CA Accident

Alleged drunken driver fled scene after collision near Heritage Drive

A tragic hit-and-run accident occurred on May 23 in Elk Grove, California, when 47-year-old Jose Rangel Diosdado was critically injured after allegedly being struck by a Honda minivan driven by 35-year-old Demond Hunter near Grove Florin Road and Heritage Drive. Diosdado later died at a hospital. Police said Hunter fled the scene but was later arrested and charged with DUI and hit-and-run. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
