Driver impaired by drugs arrested after fatal crash

A tragic accident occurred on July 28 in Chula Vista, California, when Visael López Hernández, 47, of Chiapas, Mexico, was struck and killed by a Toyota Prius. The driver, 28-year-old Alexander Heydari, lost control, crossed lanes, hit a parked car, and fatally struck Hernández on the sidewalk. Heydari was arrested for DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
