Bicyclist dies after being struck on 710 Freeway

A tragic accident occurred on August 10 in East Los Angeles, California, when 47-year-old Julio Escoto was killed in a bicycle accident on the Long Beach Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, Escoto was riding a bicycle around 3:20 a.m. when he was struck by a vehicle north of Floral Drive. Escoto suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
