A tragic hit-and-run accident occurred on December 29 in Bakersfield, California, when 47-year-old Jared Jon Harper was struck by a southbound vehicle near Taft Highway at 2:32 a.m. After lying unresponsive, he was then hit by a Honda. The Honda driver remained at the scene, while the first driver fled. Authorities continue investigating. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
