Cyclist struck by pickup truck on State Route 3 near Anthony Road

A tragic accident occurred on February 27 in Mason County, Washington, when 45-year-old Steven D. Thomas of Grapeview was struck and killed while riding a bicycle on State Route 3 near Anthony Road around 3:50 p.m. Authorities said a pickup truck attempting to pass collided with Thomas. He died at the scene from his injuries. The driver remained at the crash site. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
