A tragic accident occurred on June 13 in Jefferson County, Texas, when 45-year-old Lorena Chretien was struck and killed while walking on Interstate 10 West late Saturday night. She was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 11:45 p.m. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. The investigation is ongoing.
