A tragic accident occurred on December 7 in Monterey, California, when 45-year-old Melanie Manalac of Salinas was killed in a two-vehicle head-on collision on Espinosa Road near Rodgers Road. The crash happened around 7:30 p.m., and authorities have not confirmed whether others were injured or what caused the impact. CHP briefly diverted traffic to SR-156 while investigating the scene.
