A juvenile at the wheel of a black Ford F-150 reportedly crossed the southbound lanes and slammed into a utility pole on the west side of the road. The impact caused the pole and wires to fall across all lanes. Shortly afterward, four vehicles crashed due to the road being blocked by wires and a pole. One vehicle was a red and black Honda CBR1000 motorcycle driven by Ricardo De Orta-Garcia. Tragically, Orta-Garcia died from injuries sustained in the collision. An investigation is underway.
