43-Year-Old Cori Leann Davis Injured In Smith, TX Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on Friday, January 29, at 9:46 PM In Smith, Texas. 43-year-old Cori Leann Davis was hospitalized after the vehicle that she was a passenger in was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 20. Davis was traveling in a Chevrolet driven by 42-year-old Christopher Young. They were traveling east on I-20 at low speed with their hazard lights on due to a vehicle malfunction. They were then struck by a 2012 Volvo truck-tractor rig driven by 38-year-old Reynaldo Aparico. The Texas Department of Public Safety reported  that Aparico failed to control the vehicle’s speed and struck the Chevrolet. Davis was taken to UT Health East Texas, Tyler for treatment of her injuries. Sadly, Young was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
