Driver dies after collision on Interstate 8 near Lake Jennings Road

A tragic accident occurred on May 21 near Lakeside, California, when 43-year-old Richard Ortega was driving a vehicle involved in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 8 near Lake Jennings Road. Authorities said the collision happened around 11:03 a.m. Despite lifesaving efforts by paramedics, Ortega was pronounced dead at the scene from blunt force injuries.
