43-Year-Old Edgar Chavez Killed in Big Bear, CA Accident

Man dies after hit-and-run collision

A tragic accident occurred on August 31 in Big Bear, California, when 43-year-old Edgar Chavez was killed in a hit-and-run accident. According to CHP, Chavez was working when he was struck by a gray Toyota Tundra pickup truck around 7:11 a.m. at Greenway Drive and Big Bear Boulevard. The driver fled the scene. Chavez was pronounced dead about an hour later. The accident remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
