42-Year-Old Toni Powell Killed In Van Zandt, TX Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Monday, January 10th in Van Zandt, Texas. 42-year-old Toni Powell was tragically killed when her car was struck while waiting for a school bus along Highway 64. According to a preliminary investigation by the department, Powell was westbound and stopped for a school bus. At that moment, 71-year-old Mary L. Robinson failed to control her speed and crashed into Powell's vehicle. Powell tragically died due to the injuries sustained in the wreck. The crash remains under investigation by Texas DPS.
