42-Year-Old Alyssa Acord Dies in Olympia, WA Accident

Struck on U.S. 101 Near Black Lake Boulevard

A tragic accident occurred on June 28 in Olympia, Washington, when 42-year-old Alyssa Acord was fatally struck by a suspected drunk driver. Around 1 a.m., Acord was hit by a Honda Civic exiting southbound U.S. Highway 101 onto Black Lake Boulevard. She died at the scene. The driver was arrested for DUI and vehicular homicide. Authorities are investigating. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
