41-Year-Old Nicholas Thompson Killed In Liberty Township, OH Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on May 17 in Liberty Township, Ohio. 41-year-old Nicholas Thompson was fatally injured in a single-vehicle accident involving an alleged impaired motorist along Colonial Drive . The wreck occurred when the driver lost control at a curve in the roadway. As a result, the vehicle left the right side of the roadway, returned to the roadway, lost control, slammed into a utility pole on the left side of the roadway, and erupted in flames. A passenger, identified as Nicholas Thompson, sadly died from injuries he sustained in the crash. Authorities say the 26-year-old man driving was impaired at the time of the crash and charged with aggravated vehicular homicide. An investigation is underway.
