Mr. Booyens was traveling in a Chevy Silverado west when he collided with a Cadillac, driven by 22-year-old Ashley Karjala. She was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Mr. Booyens and his passenger were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
