A tragic accident occurred on September 5 in Hilmar, California, when 40-year-old Angel Ortega, driving a Chevrolet Silverado, struck a 64-year-old man near Highway 165 and Third Street. The victim was fatally injured while attempting to cross the roadway. Ortega was taken into custody shortly after the crash and now faces felony DUI and hit-and-run charges.
