40-Year-Old Juan Rangel Arrested in East Bakersfield CA Accident

Suspected DUI driver crossed lanes on Fairfax Road

A tragic accident occurred on July 27 in East Bakersfield, California, when 40-year-old Juan Rangel caused a fatal crash while allegedly driving under the influence. Around 12:35 a.m., Rangel drove a black pickup south on Fairfax Road and crossed into the northbound lane, striking a silver sedan. The sedan’s driver died at the scene. Rangel was hospitalized and will face DUI and vehicular manslaughter charges. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
