39-Year-Old Mark Rogers Killed In Abilene, TX AccidentThe accident remains under investigationPosted: 3 years agoShare Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Email This StoryTragic accident that occurred on Saturday, March 13 at around 1:05 PM in Abilene, Texas. 39-year-old Mark Rogers was tragically killed when his pick up truck was struck by a reckless driver on US Highway 36 and Blackburn Road. Rogers wife, and three children, 8, 10 and 11, were also injured in the wreck. 59-year-old James Wells was traveling at a high rate of speed, and illegally passing vehicles. Wells tried to pass Rogers' pick up, but had to get back in his lane due to an oncoming vehicle. He then clipped the rear of the pick up, causing it to veer off the road and hit a tree. Sadly, Rogers, was pronounced dead at the scene.
