Pedestrian dies in hit-and-run crash

A tragic accident occurred on July 27 in Hesperia, California, when 39-year-old Reginald Matthews Jr. was struck by a westbound vehicle while walking near Arroyo Avenue and Sequoia Street at about 1:28 a.m. The driver fled the scene without stopping. Matthews was pronounced dead at the scene. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Hesperia Sheriff's Station. The accident remains under investigation.
