A tragic accident occurred on November 1 in Palmdale, California, when 38-year-old Jeanette Garcia was struck by a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis around 4:13 a.m. near 20th Street East and Avenue S. Authorities said the driver ran a red light and hit Garcia while she was pushing a shopping cart. The driver fled the scene but was later located and arrested on multiple felony charges.
