Ramos was transported to Bellevue Hospital where he sadly died from injuries to his head and body. When police arrived at the site of the crash they discovered the vehicle abandoned but later apprehended the alleged driver. 24-year-old Edgar Maeda-Luca was charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
