38-Year-Old Brett Swanson Injured In Marshalltown, IA Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on August 21 in Marshalltown, Iowa. 38-year-old Brett Swanson was injured following a multi-vehicle accident off the 3000-mile marker of Marshalltown Boulevard . An initial investigation by troopers revealed a 2023 Lincoln ran out of gas and stopped on the road. The occupants of the Lincoln and several passersby began pushing the vehicle off the roadway, and that is when another car, a 2022 Hyundai Elantra, struck Lincoln's driver and one of the passersby. Brett Swanson was flown to Des Moines area hospital for advanced treatment. The incident remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
