38-Year-Old Irma Elizabeth Vargas Killed in Palo Alto, CA Accident

Woman dies in hit-and-run motorcycle collision

A tragic accident occurred on August 20 in Palo Alto, California, when 38-year-old Irma Elizabeth Oxlaj Vargas was killed in a hit-and-run accident. According to CHP, Vargas was riding a motorcycle on southbound U.S. Route 101 near University Avenue around 6:05 a.m. when an 18-year-old driver struck her and fled. Vargas was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect was later arrested and booked on felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter charges.
