A tragic accident occurred on March 17 in Bakersfield, California, when 37-year-old Lakia Annette Norrissa Gray was struck and killed while riding an electric scooter near Fourth and P streets just after midnight. Authorities said a northbound vehicle hit her in the crosswalk. Gray was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained and cooperated with investigators.
