Vehicle strikes pedestrian on eastbound Highway 18

A tragic accident occurred on January 18 in Apple Valley, California, when 37-year-old Hughie J. Sheppard was killed in a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision on eastbound Highway 18 near Apple Valley Road. Authorities said a 2015 Nissan Altima struck Sheppard, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, 21, remained on site unharmed. The incident is under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
