36-Year-Old Tina Thompson Charged In Newnan, GA Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on Thursday  January 28th, in Newnan, Georgia in the area of Highway 154 and Glen Forest Trail. 36-year-old Tina Marie Thompson was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with serious injury, driving under the influence, and other charges, after she tragically struck a 50-year-old man riding his bicycle. Shortly after the crash, she was reported to be driving erratically on Highway 154.  Deputies performed a traffic stop, and found damage on the car was consistent with debris left at the accident scene. The victim was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center, and his condition is currently unknown. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
