36-Year-Old Samuel Rivera Killed In San Jose, CA Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on May 13 in San Jose, California.  36-year-old Samuel Rivera was killed in an accident while driving a tow truck for Alongi Brothers Towing on U.S. Highway 101. He pulled onto the right shoulder and exited the truck to retrieve an item when he was struck by a white Toyota RAV4. The driver of the vehicle fled from the scene without stopping. CHP said the driver of a tractor-trailer stopped and blocked the scene until officers arrived. Rivera succumbed to injuries from the collision. CHP continues to search for the suspect and vehicle. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
