35-Year-Old Michael Lawrence Injured In Vandalia, IL Accident

Motorcycle collision along Interstate 70

Tragic accident that occurred on June 5th in Vandalia, Illinois. 35-year-old Michael Lawrence suffered injuries in an accident involving a Freightliner Truck-Tractor semi trailer combination on Interstate 70 near milepost 58. Mr. Lawrence was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle west when, according to the Illinois State Police, he took evasive action trying to avoid an eastbound semi that had blown a tire. The semi, driven by a 60-year-old Arizona man, had crossed the center median and both westbound lanes, forcing the bike to be laid over on its side near Vandalia. Mr. Lawrence was hospitalized with unspecified injuries. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
