35-Year-Old Salvador Gallegos Jr. Killed in Bakersfield, CA Accident

Suspected DUI crash on Fairfax Road claims one life

A tragic accident occurred on July 27 in Bakersfield, California, when 35-year-old Salvador Gallegos Jr. was killed in a suspected DUI crash. Around 12:35 a.m., a black pickup truck traveling south on Fairfax Road crossed into oncoming traffic and struck Gallegos Jr.'s silver sedan head-on. He died at the scene. The pickup driver, suspected of DUI, was hospitalized and faces vehicular manslaughter charges. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
