Man dies in head-on collision

A tragic accident occurred on August 28 in Bakersfield, California, when 35-year-old Raul Velasco Torres was killed in a two-vehicle accident. According to CHP, a Nissan Sentra crossed into westbound lanes on Copus Road near Old River Road around 5:22 a.m. and struck a Honda Odyssey head-on. Torres, a passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim, the Honda driver, also died. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
