34-Year-Old Kayla Renae Sawtell Arrested in McLennan County,TX Acciden

Motorcyclist seriously injured in Interstate 35 accident near West

A tragic accident occurred on June 11 in McLennan County, Texas, when 34-year-old Kayla Renae Sawtell was involved in a collision with a motorcycle on Interstate 35 near mile marker 355 close to the city of West and the McLennan–Hill county line. Authorities said Sawtell was driving a Chevrolet Traverse SUV southbound when it struck the motorcycle. The rider, whose identity has not been released, was airlifted to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center–Hillcrest for treatment. Sawtell was arrested following field sobriety testing on intoxication assault charges. The investigation remains ongoing. We extend thoughts and prayers to the injured victim and their family.
