Woman dies after being struck by Amtrak train

A tragic accident occurred on August 27 in Santa Fe Springs, California, when 34-year-old Graciela Vargas was killed in a train accident. According to police, Vargas and another person were struck by an Amtrak train around 8:45 a.m. near Lakeland Road and Bloomfield Avenue. Vargas was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
