33-Year-Old Jonathan Hernandez Killed in Austin, TX Accident

Hit-and-run crash on I-35 service road downtown

A tragic accident occurred on June 12 in Austin, Texas, when 33-year-old Jonathan Hernandez was killed in a hit-and-run collision on the 600 block of the Interstate 35 southbound service road at about 11:35 p.m. Authorities said a vehicle struck the pedestrian and fled the scene. Hernandez was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. A suspect was later arrested and booked on felony charges. The investigation remains ongoing.
