33-Year-Old Jose Perez Hernandez Arrested in Merced County, CA Acciden

DUI suspect charged after fatal head-on collision

A tragic accident occurred on August 13 in Merced County, California, when 33-year-old Jose Perez Hernandez allegedly caused a fatal head-on collision while driving under the influence. According to CHP, Hernandez’s Audi crossed the centerline and struck a Chevrolet SUV. An 83-year-old passenger later died, while the 84-year-old driver suffered moderate injuries. Hernandez fled on foot but was captured and booked on DUI and felony hit-and-run charges. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
