The driver, later identified as 33-year-old James Hand, allegedly fled the scene after the collision. The 53-year-old male cyclist was taken to a local hospital, where he sadly died from his injuries. Hand, who was driving a white Ford F-150, was apprehended later in Delano. Authorities are investigating and have not yet released details about formal charges.
