32-Year-Old Rogelio Cardenas Injured In Vallejo, CA Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on Thursday December 30th in Vallejo, California. 32-year-old Rogelio Cardenas was injured in a wreck with a big rig on Highway 37. The Freightliner big rig driver, 45-year-old David Jones was westbound east of Mare Island when the traffic in front of him slowed. Jones drifted to the right and collided with a concrete barrier. He subsequently crashed into a Chevy Silverado, a Toyota Camry, and a Tesla Model 3, the California Highway Patrol said. Jones eventually struck the concrete center median, continued driving east where his Freightliner struck a Dodge Ram. The debris from the crash damaged an Infinity driving east on the roadway. Cardenas was driving the Toyota, and he suffered injuries. Medics transported him to Sutter Solano Hospital. The crash remains an active investigation.
