32-Year-Old Erik Morales Arrested in Amarillo, TX Accident

DWI pedestrian crash on Amarillo Boulevard East

A tragic accident occurred on June 16 in Amarillo, Texas, when 32-year-old Erik Morales allegedly struck a pedestrian with an SUV in the 400 block of Amarillo Boulevard East. Authorities said the pedestrian was crossing outside a designated crosswalk and was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Morales was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The Amarillo Police Department continues to investigate the incident. We send thoughts and prayers to the victim’s family.
