A tragic railroad accident occurred on May 22 in San Diego, California, when 31-year-old Cailey R. May was killed after being struck by a train near California Street and W. Hawthorn Street. Deputies said May was on the tracks when the collision occurred shortly before 6:30 p.m. Despite lifesaving efforts by emergency crews, she died at the scene. Authorities continue to investigate the incident. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
