31-Year-Old Marcos Pena Jr. Killed in Studio City, CA Accident

Struck on 101 Freeway After Exiting SUV

A tragic accident occurred on June 17 in Studio City, California, when 31-year-old Marcos Pena Jr. was struck and killed after exiting a rideshare SUV. Around 2:20 a.m., a box truck collided with a Kia sedan on the 101 Freeway near Tujunga Avenue and hit Pena and a woman who had exited the SUV. Both victims died at the scene. Pena was an off-duty L.A. County Sheriff's deputy. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
