30-Year-Old Shaina Ponce Killed in Sumner, WA Accident

Wrong-way DUI crash on State Route 410

A tragic accident occurred on July 27 in Sumner, Washington, when 30-year-old Shaina Ponce was killed in a wrong-way crash. Around 4:45 a.m., a 50-year-old Kent woman drove east in the westbound lanes of State Route 410 and struck a Toyota Prius head-on. Ponce and a 53-year-old man died at the scene. The suspect was arrested and faces vehicular homicide charges. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
