30-Year-Old Sara Smith Killed In Akron, OH Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on July 16th in Akron, Ohio. 30-year-old woman Sara Smith lost her life in a motorcycle accident involving a hit-and-run driver along Wilbeth Road in Akron. Smith was a passenger on a motorcycle when the driver tried to pass a Saturn in a no-passing area. At the same time, the Saturn attempted a left turn onto 19th Street Southwest and the motorcycle crashed into the vehicle. Smith and the driver were each ejected in the wreck. The driver then left the scene on foot. Smith was transported to Summa Barberton Hospital where she sadly died from injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities continue to investigate the incident but say charges are pending. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
